The class of 2024 has been enjoying their month of February with many fun festivities and Valentine’s Day activities.
Every year a committee of moms from the senior class gathers baby photos of every senior. The moms then hang the photos around the commons and number them. The seniors get a sheet of paper with all of the numbers and they go around and guess who is who, based on the baby picture.
“I enjoyed going around and guessing who was who because it was so interesting seeing everyone as a baby and there were many funny pictures,” Margaret Watler ’24 said.
The baby pictures were put up on January 30, and will stay up for most of February. The pictures are backed with pink and red colored paper and have hearts on the corners of the photos for Valentine’s Day.
“Even though I am a junior, it was super fun to walk around and guess the babies because I was able to guess some correctly,” Madeline Mehall ’25 said,
A competition is held between the senior class advisors to guess who the babies are. The advisory that correctly identifies the most number of babies gets a donut party. The individual winner wins a gift card. Each member of the senior class is then left with the dilemma to either help out their advisor and win a donut party or remain alone and correctly identify the baby photos for the gift card.
On February 14 during lunch, the senior class had a Valentine’s Day lunch put on by the room moms, consisting of Babe’s chicken and then a cookie exchange after. The lunch had Valentine’s decor and Valentine’s Day cookies for dessert for the seniors.
“I am excited for Valentine’s Day because the room moms are bringing us lunch and it will be fun to eat with all of my friends.”
