This year will be the 80th anniversary of the NFL draft. All 32 teams will gather up at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago to select the nation’s top football players. This year will also be very special because it is the first time in 50 years that the draft will not be held in New York.

The NFL draft order is determined by win-loss record, so the teams with losing seasons last year will get to pick the best players. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the worst team last season so they have the first pick. They will have the tough decision of choosing between Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston, the two best quarterbacks in the draft.

Jameis Winston, former Florida State quarterback and 2013 Heisman Trophy winner, is projected it be the first overall pick. Winston has had many off-the-field troubles including being accused of rape in late 2012, and stealing $32 dollars worth of crab legs from a grocery store in Tallahassee.

Marcus Mariota, former Oregon quarterback and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner, has many concerned about his ability to command a NFL offense and read defenses.

The 2015 NFL offseason has been one of the craziest of all time. Some of the league’s top players will be playing on new teams next year.

Ndamukong Suh, the league’s top free agent, will now be playing for the Miami Dolphins. Suh has spent the past five years playing defensive tackle playing for the Detroit Lions, and is considered one of the top defensive players in the league.

DeMarco Murray, the league’s top rusher in 2014, just signed a 5-year, $42 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. Murray was with the Dallas Cowboys last season, and his departure to their division rival is a big loss for Dallas.

LeSean McCoy, former Philadelphia Eagles running back, was traded to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso. McCoy is one of league’s most explosive backs, so many people were very surprised by the news of the trade. Alonso was very good in 2013, but missed all of last season with a torn ACL. He played under Eagles’ head coach, Chip Kelly, at Oregon.

Jimmy Graham, the league’s top tight end, was traded to the 2014 Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Seattle sent center Max Unger and a first round draft pick to the New Orleans Saints for Graham and a fourth round pick. Graham will contribute to the Seahawks offense in major ways.
