This Friday is the last pep rally of the fall season and marks the end of the fall sports season. The fall sports, including football, cross country, volleyball, and field hockey, will come to a close. Almost all of the FWCD fall sports teams have qualified for SPC (girls volleyball can clinch their spot with a win against Casady tonight), and will have one more week to practice before traveling to Austin to compete.

The cheerleaders have been preparing for the last fall pep rally for three weeks. Junior varsity and varsity have four dances prepared and a number of stunts involved. They have also been working hard on their routines and making posters. Along with choreographing their dance routines, the varsity seniors have been preparing routines for man cheer, the senior boys’ annual performance.

The theme of the pep rally is blackout and there will be black lights surrounding the cheerleaders. The cheerleaders are excited to see their hard work throughout the fall season pay off on Friday.

“We have all worked really hard on choreographing and learning the dances and I am excited to see the turnout,” Adelaide Kelly ’18 said.
