Blackout Pep Rally Lights Up the Upper School
The Varsity cheerleaders hosted a unique pep rally on Friday, Sept. 27. While the students and faculty were asked to dress all in black for a special Blackout Pep Rally, the students were confused when the cheerleaders were all in white. The surprise was unveiled at the rally, when the gym lights went out, the black lights came on, and pom pons with glowing lights lit up the gym floor. The special blackout worked: the Varsity football team beat St. John’s for the first time in six years, and Varsity field hockey beat their big rival, the Lady Mavericks, on Saturday morning.
