Final BCS Bowl Projections
BCS National Championship
Auburn Tigers vs. Florida State Seminoles
The Florida State Seminoles are shaping to be one of the best college football teams we’ve seen in a decade. After Jameis Winston shook over a sexual assault accusation, he dominated the Blue Devils in Charlotte. Whether he’s using his arm or his legs, he presents so many problems for a defense. As for Auburn, they are back to their 2010 championship offensive explosions. With old offensive coordinator turned head coach Gus Malzahn back in the fold, Auburn is running wild on everybody. Running back Tre Mason powers the ground game, but everyone, including quarterback Nick Marshall, gets in on the action. Mason had 46 carries for 304 yards and four touchdowns yesterday, shattering SEC Title game and team records against Missouri. As a team, Auburn had 545 rushing yards, which is the number a 10-year old would have in a video game. However, if James Franklin and Missouri could put up 42 on Auburn, imagine would Jameis Winston and Co. could accomplish. Florida State also has a defense where eight of the 11 guys are projected to make NFL teams next year. In the end, the Seminoles will put an end to the SEC’s reign of seven straight national championships and extinguish the fire-like momentum of Auburn.

Stanford Cardinal vs. Michigan State Spartans
Well, Michigan State showed the world that defense really does win championships. Despite Ohio State scoring 24 points, the Buckeyes had to fight for every yard, as they went one for ten on third down conversions. Braxton Miller and Co. had no breathing room for the first time all year, indicating that the Spartan defense can carry them to victory against anybody. Michigan State will get what it hoped for in a plane ticket to Pasadena. The Pac 12 championship game was a typical Stanford game as the Cardinal won 38-14. Despite Stanford’s split personality disorder (wins against Oregon and Arizona State and losses to Utah and USC), they wake up for the big games. In the end,

Baylor Bears vs. University of Central Florida Knights
This’ll be a fun one down in the desert. Central Florida has quietly won 11 games and won the American Athletic Conference/the Old Big East. They’ll get the Big XII champion, Baylor. These are two teams that haven’t ever played each other and will get to square off in Glendale. Baylor looked like one of the top teams in the country for much of the year but came out flat vs. Oklahoma State and TCU in back to back weeks (Losing to Oklahoma State and beating a four-win TCU team by just 3.) Baylor’s Bryce Petty has been in the Heisman talk all season and has the ability to go off at anytime. He has a whole lot of weapons around him and should have a satisfying end to the season. Lache Seastrunk and Bryce Petty will overwhelm the Knights at the end of the day.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Oklahoma Sooners
The Tide will most likely roll in this one. It’’s a Nick Saban team that is MAD after being a miracle away from appearing in their third straight National Championship game. As consolation, they get to avoid the freakishly good Seminoles from Tallahassee. Oklahoma is a great story, coming back and beating their rival to advance to the BCS. Don’t worry Sooners. On the bright side, Bourbon Street has been curing broken hearts and lightening moods since President Jefferson bought Louisiana in 1803. There is NO way Saban lets this one slip away in the final seconds.

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Clemson Tigers
These are two teams do not have a lot of history against each other but are very similar. The Tigers and Buckeyes each focus on one thing: Lots of points. Lots of offense. The Tigers and Buckeyes like to spread it out and create mismatches deep. Tajh Boyd and Braxton Miller have shredded opposing defenses all year. Both are looking to bounce back from losses to their rivals. The combination of Tajh Boyd to Sammy Watkins will torch the Buckeye defense all day.
