St.Marks vs. FWCD Varsity Football Scouting Report

Ross Biggs, Reporter

After a nail biting 27-22 win against Lake Worth High School, and a 34-6 beat down over the Saint Andrew’s Crusades, the Fort Worth Country Day football team takes on the St. Mark’s Lions (1-1) at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12. at Rosacker Field. The two teams seem to be overall evenly matched, but the game may come down to two things: the Quarterbacks and the Weather. St. Mark’s qb is questionable for play on Friday due to an ACL injury that occurred in practice. Also, Friday is expected to be cool and rainy.  Perfect conditions for the FWCD defense in stopping St. Mark’s passing game, which is their primary point of attack. With running back Brandon Evans back stronger and faster than ever, the St. Mark’s defense may be in for some trouble. It’s always tough to predict a game of two evenly matched teams, but it looks like the Falcons could have the advantage this game. Be sure to stop by Friday night to watch the Falcons try and pull out a win in their first conference game of the season.
