It’s a bird! No wait, it’s a plane! Wait NO, it’s Bruce Quinn pullin’ up in his hot rod. Solver of great mathematical problems, hiker of glorious trails, driver of sexy cars, husband, father and teacher, Quinn is a new member of the FWCD math department.

Quinn grew up in a small town of about 1000 people in southern Illinois. He got a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of Evansville in Indiana and an Master of Science in nuclear engineering from the University of Arizona; he has a true love for math.

After college Quinn went to Mexico to teach at a school called ITESM, which is a bilingual school. He was able to teach his students in English despite the school being in Mexico. From Mexico he went to Arizona to teach at a boarding school. After that he went to teach at another boarding school in California. While teaching in California, he acted as a father for the students, and he took care of 40 students as if they were his children. Then he finally moved to the Lone Star State to teach at Fort Worth Country Day. He really enjoys the environment of Country Day because “the students are respectful to each other and to the teachers”.

During his free time Quinn enjoys bike riding, and he has recently discovered the Trinity Trail and biked his way down to Lake Benbrook during some of his first days in the Fort. He is also a true maestro on the keyboard. He also enjoys collecting rocks and models of hot rods. But while some just collect hot rods, Quinn happens to drive a Mustang convertible. He can be found driving around town with his top down after a day at school.

Speed demon, pure genius, and rugged outdoorsman, Quinn has found a new home at Country Day.
