Attention Krispy Kreme donut lovers: no more having to eat those store-bought Krispy Kreme glazed donuts because Krispy Kreme is coming back to the Fort Worth community. This will be Fort Worth’s first Krispy Kreme since the South Hulen shop closed back in 2010. The new shop will be located at 6700 Westworth Blvd, near Ridgmar Mall and Westover Hills. The grand opening date is still unknown due to construction schedules over the holidays, but expects to open by the spring. Krispy Kreme fans will camp out on the date of the opening because the first 100 customers will receive a punch card for a year’s worth of free donuts. That’s right, 100 determined donut customers will have access to 12 glazed donuts a month at no cost.

Michael Anderson ‘18 hopes to be one of those customers.

“I plan on camping outside on opening morning,” Anderson said. “All I will be thinking about is all of the free donuts I will be eating once I make it inside.”

Many FWCD students are excited to once again have a Krispy Kreme shop back in the Fort.

Stay tuned for more Krispy Kreme updates.
