Amongst much competition, this new Mexican restaurant is serving up the works. The Velvet Taco opened on January 11 on West Seventh Street on the corner across the street from Montgomery Plaza. Open for lunch and dinner, this new taco stand will serve tacos that should tickle your taste buds and allow pungent Mexican flavors. The tacos offer a wide range of variety including a rotisserie chicken BLT taco, a Texas burger taco, a fish n’chips taco, and breakfast tacos served all day. Sides include rotisserie-style corn and goat cheese cheddar crispy tater tots. But save room for dessert because their red velvet cake is supposed to be killer. The menu is also vegan friendly with prices that should blow your sombreros off your head, ranging from about $4-$7. The restaurant also has another interesting feature. You can walk up to the back door and hand them a $20 and you get a whole rotisserie chicken, sides of corn, tortillas, pico de gallo and more. What a deal!

You might have heard of this restaurant, or even been to it, because The Velvet Taco is also located in Dallas. The Dallas location gets lots of business and the proof is in the hours of operation. For example, on Saturday this restaurant is open from 9am-4am.
