Have you ever been to a Mexican Restaurant that is absolutely COVERED in Christmas lights? Campo Verde, located at 2918 W PIONEER PKWY Arlington, TX 76013, is the perfect restaurant to raise your holiday spirits.
Campo Verde is a Tex-Mex restaurant with some very fun and bright holiday decorations. Campo Verde celebrates the holidays from November 1 through March 1. The restaurant is covered in colorful lights, Christmas trees, and a toy train that runs above the restaurant and makes its rounds while you enjoy your meal.
During the holiday season, Campo Verde does not offer reservations. Reservations will pick back up after January 1. The restaurant is very crowded during the holidays, so it is important to arrive early in case of a wait to be seated.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is by far the best part of Campo Verde. While the food is good, the decorations and entertainment make the dinner 10 times better. The food is average Tex-Mex and has a normal menu full of enchiladas, nachos, quesadillas, fajitas, and more that is loved by many. There is also a kids menu and all of the food on the kids menu is $7.25 each. The prices of the food are affordable for families eating there.
I would recommend going to Campo Verde because it got me in the holiday spirit, and it was a fun place to go with my friends and family.
My family and my friends started off with chips and salsa and then ordered a bowl of queso. The queso had a good consistency and great seasoning.
I ordered cheese enchiladas and a side of rice and beans. The cheese enchiladas were flavorful and perfect to feed one or two people. I enjoyed the Spanish rice and refried beans as my side dish. They offer chicken or beef enchiladas as well.
Claiborne Edwards ’25 ordered bean and cheese nachos, and they were average. The nachos lacked some flavor and they were a little too simple for my likings.
Sloan Howard ’25 got chicken tacos and they were delicious. The tacos had many different condiments such as guacamole, salsa, queso, and sour cream to go along with them, and they had great seasoning.
Lastly, Elizabeth Dike ’25 got the cheese quesadilla. She enjoyed the quesadilla because it was simple but paired well with her rice and beans.
Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend eating there. The decorations in the restaurant were super fun and engaging.
