Chapp’s is a burger restaurant with many locations scattered throughout the DFW area, with a specific location in Arlington, TX that caught the attention of three Falcon reporters. The Black Angus beef in their burgers is from Goodstock, former Texas Rangers star Nolan Ryan’s beef brand. We concluded that Chapp’s is a must-visit restaurant that you need to stop by if you’re in the area.

I purchased the All-Natural Black Angus Beef Burger, which is essentially a ½ pound burger, as well as a side of french fries. The restaurant was somewhat busy, but the food arrived fairly quickly. The atmosphere was very relaxed with calm music, so I didn’t mind the wait at all. However, the fries did not seem fresh and were not crisp. However, I am a believer that the most important aspect of a restaurant is the main course and, in this case, the burger at Chapp’s knocked that out of the park. The burger was very fresh and crisp. The cheese added a lot of flavor, and the bun was soft. The burger without a doubt stole the show. While the french fries were not my favorite, the main course should be a restaurant’s specialty and that is the largest factor in my review. Needless to say, I was impressed.

I got a bacon burger with no cheese and added lettuce and onions with a side of Cajun fries. The restaurant isn’t super busy in the location, which I like because there is normally no line. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming: as soon as I walked in, I was greeted. It was my first time getting Cajun fries at Chapp’s. They were hot and crispy and had a perfect amount of seasoning, not too spicy but not lacking spice. The burger was easily my favorite thing, though. It was made fresh, and the bacon had a crisp flavor in every bite. The lettuce and onions also gave it some flavor, and the bun wasn’t soggy at all. Personally, I don’t like cheese on burgers, and it still was full of flavor even without the cheese. The quality of food from Chapp’s has always been good for me, and they’ve never messed it up. Chapp’s is my current favorite burger place, and I think it will be for a very long time.

I ordered a cheeseburger and added ketchup and bacon on it with a side of fries with ketchup, along with a Dr. Pepper. Since this was my first time eating here, I didn’t really know what to expect, but overall it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming, and there weren’t too many people eating there. The service was pretty solid, and my food came out shortly after my order. The food was very fresh and tasted great, especially the fries. The fries went well with the ketchup and were saltier than expected, which is what I prefer. Dr. Pepper always goes well with any burger, so the soda was great. Out of everything, the bacon cheeseburger was my favorite part. The burger was fresh, and the bacon was very crispy. The bun was very soft and did not turn soggy at all. Overall, I expected to enjoy Chapp’s, but I was surprised by just how awesome it was and would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried it.
