One of Fort Worth’s most loved snack stops is back open for the spring and summer season. New Orleans Style Shave Ice stand is located on Camp Bowie Blvd.- which is common knowledge to most. It is regularly visited by not only FWCD students of all ages, but anyone of all ages. It is one of a kind in that there is no other stand like it in our city because of the large amount of flavors, and there are lots of people who enjoy and appreciate the owner, John, and all of his hard work to keep this stand up and running.

New Orleans Shaved Ice has been a staple for summer nights in Fort Worth for the past few years. Not only does it offer normally sweetened flavors, but also some of the flavors feature a sugar-free version, that is sweetened with Splenda. This way, everyone can enjoy their snow cone in a sugar free option. The stand features tons of different flavors that many stands don’t offer that are unique to our city. Horned Frog and Fuzzy Navel are two of the many flavors that aren’t commonly seen. Not only does this stand feature outrageous flavor combinations, it serves great versions of the common flavors, like cherry, strawberry, grape, and orange.

If you thought this stand couldn’t have anything better to offer, you can buy one snow cone for just $1.50. They serve sizes small, medium, large, regular, and extra large, with a regular size being the size of a Styrofoam cup. Every snow cone also features this stand’s trademark addition to snow cones, a dum-dum lollipop. This adds to the experience, as if it couldn’t get better already.
