Lacrosse Game 3

On Tuesday, March 3, Varsity Lacrosse played the first game of the season against Greenhill in very cold and wet conditions. The game started out pretty rough with a score of 8-1 in Greenhill’s favor at the end of the first quarter. The next quarter ended 11-1 leaving the FWCD coaches many things to discuss at half-time. This talk must have really gotten through to the players because at the end of the third quarter the score was 12-5. The team improved and showed better composure in the second half of the game.

“There was a lot better communication on defense and we got our first game jitters out,” Nikhil De ’18 said.

The fourth quarter ended 13-6. The result may not have been optimal but the game could have been a lot worse. A memorable moment of this game was when lacrosse manager JT Brookman ’18 forgot to get the clock running and the game went on for about two minutes with the clock stopped.
